After, yes a lazy day yesterday, I felt the repercussions today -sluggishness, dreading leaving the comforts of my bed- a fat tummy and overall a simmering of sadness. My walk to and from work gave me hopes of being active but then I realized how tight my jean shorts fit over my thighs and downhill I went. If ice cream was available I would have downed the whole gallon! Instead I broke down and had three glasses of Diet Dr. Pepper – I am trying to cut back on my sugar intake as my arms and stomach are showing what my metabolism used to digest in seconds. Ah, aging.
Work went well, though I only got in 4 hours I was able to accomplish 11 postings! Almost 3 and hour, getting better every time! I do spend a little extra time perfecting the images because I want to visual to be as prominent as the posting itself. It is so rewarding to see my posts on customer’s Facebook pages, websites, Twitter, Instagram and their blogs. Tomorrow I work on social engagement, how they set up postings, events and coordinate with the clients and so on. I am excited and am loving the progress I am making. I hope the clients feel the same.
I come home and relax for a short while talking with Anthony about our life and every day that follows. I heated up the last of my chicken and chowed down like I hadn’t eaten half a bagel and a white peach for breakfast this morning. My breakfast -eaten on my walk to work- was so delicious I only regret that I had but one peach to eat, I could have eaten a bushel. For dinner I made (tried to recreate) Anthony’s most delicious pancakes yet! He found this buttermilk version and it is to die for!
Even sitting here typing away my life, I can feel my tummy slowly rolling over the top of my shorts, major frowning face! Even though I feel this way people still find time to tell me I look so skinny and fit, and all I can think is “you should have seen me then” when I should be thinking “hell ya I do and to stay this way I need to push myself a little each day!” That’s all it really takes, is to always be active. Instead of sitting I should be stretching on the floor in the center splits, doing squats or holding a squat position, leaning forward and doing leg lifts to work my butt – I could be doing anything but I sit.
The last bummer of the day was the flea we found on Cali not too long ago. Anthony happened to see it on her face and scratched her head until he popped out and he napped him after many attempts. It is frustrating because we just put a flea treatment on her no more than a week ago and now another random flea? Where are you coming from?!
